These cards portraying the endangered Sierra Nevada bighorn sheep represent a migrating mural spread along Highway 395 beside the Eastern Sierra Nevada. The incredibly accurate depictions of these sheep have been crafted by artist and science illustrator Jane Kim, founder of Ink Dwell. Ink Dwell’s mission is to inspire people to love and protect the Earth one work of art at a time. These images are meant to carry a powerful message of education and conservation. The Sierra Nevada bighorn sheep are a special species unique only to the Sierra Nevada. This means they are genetically distinct from all other sheep in North America - and the world. Sierra Nevada bighorn sheep have been listed as an endangered species by the state of California and the federal government for more than a decade. A portion of the proceeds from these cards will be donated to the Sierra Nevada Bighorn Sheep Foundation, an organization committed to coordinating the recovery of this endangered animal through public involvement and partnering with the Department of Fish & Wildlife.
