SAGE TO SUMMIT Sales Associate Job Description

An associate at Sage to Summit is a multifaceted position. It is a combination of sales and admin work. Associates sell and manage gym memberships, merchandise, and rental equipment while offering suggestions and solutions to customers regarding their needs for footwear, gear, and clothing. They receive inventory and merchandise and clean the store. Furthermore, an associate works on website management, social media posts, and e-commerce
fulfillment. A successful sales associate must be computer literate and self-motivated to complete many diverse tasks.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Complete opening tasks such as unlocking the store, doing a morning sweep, checking the cell phone, settling the cash register, and turning on open signs.
  • Greet all customers and meet their needs with merchandise solutions
  • Check-in customers for the bouldering gym and assist climbers in filling out the waiver
  • Successfully use and understand the Point of SALE system for both the store and gym
  • Cash and credit card transactions
  • Rewards Program
  • Returns
  • Chat and be friendly with customers. Post on Social Media with Instagram Stories
  • Create social media content
  • Receive Inventory
  • Merchandise the Store
  • Process, ship, and invoice wholesale and online orders
  • Clean bouldering gym
  • Close the store

Weekly Responsibilities Store/Gym:

  • Sweep, mop, dust, and clean the sales floor, stock room, and bathroom
  • Merchandise packs, clothing, and gear
  • Sweep the sidewalk in front of the store and clean windows
  • Create window displays

Weekly Admin Responsibilities

  • Assist in website tasks such as uploading product images, copywriting
  • Assist with social media marketing
