BearVault bear-resistant food canisters are made from rugged transparent polycarbonate, which resists impact without shattering. Humans (not bears) can open and close the lid without using tools. The wide top provides full access for loading and unloading food. They have built-in guides that keep tie-down straps in place, so you don't need an extra carrying case to attach to your pack. The BearVault comes in four sizes to accommodate a short trip on the Evolution Loop or a long thru-hike on the John Muir Trail.
