A bit small

I like the shell, the material is lightweight and pretty much stops the wind. I bought them to put over a nice woolen pair my wife made. I hesitated on size….what is large in mittens? The range is large. But I trusted that I had to have large enough and ordered the large. Too large could be adjusted for, or I would be open to ordering a medium. So. The shells arrived in a reasonable time. The company is generous, personal, and solicitous of feedback. So this is the first product review I recall writing. The shell fit over the mitten, but the thing is way small I was able to squeeze the thumb in, but that crushed some of the insulation from the wool. So, the mittens are well made, light and I would purchase again. But the size called “large” I would rename that size “medium” and have a size “large” or “XL” for folks like me that want more length and roominess.
