Tuolumne Meadows, situated in Yosemite National Park, California, offers some of the Sierra Nevada's finest granite, with over a thousand climbing routes, numerous boulder problems, and stunning granite peaks. This new comprehensive guidebook covers roped rock climbs along Highway 120, from Crane Flat to Lee Vining, spanning 592 full-color pages. It features detailed descriptions of over 1,700 routes across 170 formations, including 400+ new climbs. The guide includes approach and descent info, GPS locations, parking directions, and detailed maps, with pitch-by-pitch route descriptions, grades, safety ratings, gear recommendations, historical insights, and overlay photos.
The guidebook is authored by Robin Hirsch and Thomas Bukowski. Hirsch, a Tuolumne regular since 2008, has been working on the guide since 2012, bringing extensive local knowledge and experience from his work with the National Park Service. Bukowski joined in 2019, contributing his expertise in print publishing and data management to refine and design the guidebook. The project also benefited from the guidance of Chris Falkenstein, co-author of the previous comprehensive Tuolumne guidebook, whose support and knowledge were instrumental in the project's development.
